Flat Glass Painting
Eric Gordon employs a self-developed technique of painting on horizontal glass panels, a method that departs from traditional easel painting to explore the dynamic interplay of materials in motion. This unique process allows for fluid interactions between pigments, inks, and solvents, which respond to gravity and kinetic forces as they move across the glass surface.
Unlike conventional painting methods, this technique resists fixed form; each composition exists only temporarily on the glass before being captured as a high-resolution print. The resulting images are not static creations but visual records of a singular moment - ephemeral states of flow and transformation suspended in time.
